Open Handset Alliance adds Garmin, Toshiba, Vodafone, and 11 others

Yesterday, the Open Handset Alliance (OHA) announced a plethora of 14 brand new members to its clan of supporters. There are some pretty big names floating around in the list, including the world’s fifth largest personal computer manufacturer (Toshiba), and the world’s fourth largest mobile handset manufacturer (Sony Ericsson). Throw in Garmin to find your way and Vodafone to give you signal and you’re set. Still missing from the list are the United States’ largest mobile carriers, AT&T and Verizon Wireless.
