On-screen virtual keyboards on Android roadmap for Q1 2009

Thanks to the guys at HTC Source who noticed, we now have a link to the ever-evolving roadmap for the Android platform’s development.

Of note on the current roadmap is the plan to add support for on-screen input methods like virtual keyboards and keypads in the first quarter of next year (2009). Right now these are only “initial thoughts” as to when things might, or should, happen. Nothing concrete.

Either way, this will probably be a page worth keeping track of in the future. You can check out the roadmap on the Android source site for yourself.
