The latest edition of the Xbox app has been available for Windows phone users for quite some time now, but Microsoft is finally rolling out all of this version’s features to Android and iOS users. This official app improves upon the (extremely outdated) features that Xbox SmartGlass offered. With it you’ll be able to download games to your Xbox from your device, view and share your achievements, and see what your friends are up to on Xbox Live on the fly.

You can now purchase Xbox One games remotely via SmartGlass app

The updated home provides a sleek activity feed so you’ll never be behind on the times, and you can actually personalize this feed to receive information more relevant to your particular interests. Whenever content is trending, you’ll be alerted to it, so you can always see what the masses are interested in outside of your particular niche. This is a great way to discover new stuff that might not have been on your radar. By adding your Facebook account, you’ll be able to locate other friends’ gamertags, and the same goes with your smartphone’s contact list. Much like the PS4’s interface, you’ll be able to share your real name if you’d like, and you can better present yourself to the world with the newly redesigned user profiles.
