Once again, Google has chosen to offer this accessory at a high price. But then again, you absolutely get what you pay for. More specifically, the cables are tailored to fit around the Nexus Q’s orb like shape.
Coming in at the same price as the Triad Bookshelf Speakers, this whole system by Energy offers over 300 Watts split between the six pieces. As for the $50 speaker cables, Newegg offers a cheap alternative by Belkin that should do the job just fine. Again, there is no guarantee that these cables will work as well as the Google recommended version. However, these cables are extremely similar and come in a pack of 4 (a perfect fit for the Nexus Q).
