Google has recently started a whole series of videos for their Nexus 7 tablet to show their customers what they can do with the Nexus 7 tablet and how to take advantage of all its apps and services. This latest video is about perhaps the most innovative feature of their Google+ service – Hangouts.

Hangouts is a multi-way video chat tool, which allows up to ten people to talk to each other at the same time. It uses a neat technology that knows when a user is speaking, and enlarges his or her video screen, which makes it easier to keep track of who’s talking at any given time.

Of course, you can still talk to only one person at a time, just like the old-style video chat programs, and I think Google will start putting more emphasis on Hangouts for video-chatting from now on, and less on Google Talk’s own video-chatting feature, that only allows two people to speak at once.

Google+ itself is also a great app for Android phones and tablets, much better than anything Facebook has, and I urge you to give it a try if you haven’t already. After you do that, you might want to try the Hangouts feature with your friends as well.
