Nexus 7 (2013) 32GB to cost €269 in Europe?

Nexus 7

Consumers in the U.S. and Canada have been able to enjoy the Nexus 7 (2013) for a while now, but it seems that the device will soon be available to buy in Europe, and more specifically Italy, according to a  press release sent by ASUS.

Starting Aug. 29, those residing in Italy will be able to get their hands on a 32GB Nexus 7 (2013) for €269, including VAT. As for the LTE model, you can expect that to arrive in September for a much higher price of €349.

There was no mention of any 16GB models, bit we presume it’ll be reminiscent of the pricing in the U.S., which means you can probably expect to buy it for €229EUR.

Not everyone has official access to the Nexus 7 (2013) just yet, with Google saying the device would have a much broader release “in the coming weeks”. We should see more release announcements soon, as the device is picking up speed, fast.

Google usually has the same prices for devices sold in different European countries, so we can expect to see the Nexus 7 (2013) going for the same price in Germany, France, and other markets.

This one’s for our Italian readers, are you getting a Nexus 7 (2013) come Aug. 29?

Title has $ as currency, but the article has Euros.

Might be no euro symbol on Brad’s keyboard layout since he’s in the US.

Then why it’s in the article? :)

Might have copy pasted it (or some workaround) into the article but forgot the heading

Least that’s what I do when I occasionally need to use a character from languages with characters that aren’t in my keyboard layout.

it’s the case with every gadget in europe, it’s always more expensive because of the high taxes and european restrictions.

And because if it costs $100, it won’t be 75 euros like it should, but they’ll keep it at one hundred (euros)

      • RarestName

In any case, it’s still cheaper than a Samsung tablet.

Or any other tablet that comes even close in any way!

Don’t you know anyone going to the States? He/she should bring you one… search your friends and family… ppl go to the States all the time..

Canadian users can only buy the 16 gb version. I won’t buy ’till the 32 gb goes on sale. If it it goes!.
Google seem to have problem learning good business practices.
After the first Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 fiascos… Now there’s the Nexus (2013) or maybe 2014 for other parts of the world.
    And Chromecast…
I’m far than an Apple fanboy, but in that mather Apple do the things better. They don’t launch their product worldwide (theey’re american after all), but at least you get a clear launch date for your country.
Seem that, as always, those people don’t realize that they’re not alone with electricity…

Italian reader here and I’m really glad to read this! I’m almost certainly going to jump on this right after trying it out in first person, seeing as the value for this cost seems sensational… (would be even more so if my sister brought me one from the states!)

In other words, no reason NOT to buy the US version now and have it shipped to Europe. I just picked up the 32gb on amazon, and with international shipping it comes to 270 euro. Not bad in order to beat street date by 3 weeks.

how you did it ? I tried on amazon.us but it says that I can’t ship to my destination (Paris, France) thanks !
