The Nexus 7 is turning out to be quite the big hit for Google, enough that some Canadian folks are experiencing shipment delays. If you can’t find one yet in your local stores back home, here’s an update on the Jelly Bean tablet’s availability on the Play Store.

After being slapped with the ‘sold out’ tag, the 16GB model of Nexus 7 is now back on sale on Canada Play Store. If you don’t mind the 3-5 days of waiting for Google to send it across border to your porch, better hit that buy button now and get those CAD $259 ready. Those looking for the 8GB Nexus 7 online aren’t as lucky, as the smaller capacity model is now listed as out of stock.

Also up on Play Store is the official case for the Nexus 7. The dark grey case can be had for $20, and like the tablet, it will be shipped in 3-5 days. We wouldn’t be too surprised to see it becoming a highly sought-after item, so it’s best to order one now while it’s still in stock.

The lightweight case comes in a soft matte finish. It doesn’t seem to be compatible with the hidden magnetic feature of the Nexus 7, which means no automatic screen on/off for now. Charging and hooking up your favorite headset to the tablet’s headphone port won’t be a problem, as you can access the two easily.

Interested in getting the official Nexus 7 case? Any trouble getting your Jelly Bean tablet?
