Can you smell the Nexus 4 in the air? The return of the phone to Google Play hasn’t been confirmed yet by Google, but there’s a reason (or two) to believe that it will arrive sooner, rather than later.

As of today, the Play Store in various parts of the world is no longer saying that the flagship Google phone – alongside other Nexus devices — is “out of stock”. Instead, the listing now says that it is “temporarily out of stock”.

How optimistic should Nexus supporters be about the prospect of seeing the N4 being restocked very soon? Well, LG did hint that buyers can expect to see more of the handset in February. What’s more, we’re seeing several retailers starting to sell the handset online.

We’re not saying that the Nexus 4 will definitely go back in stock today, but if it does, it’ll be a very pleasant and welcome surprise. It doesn’t hurt to mentally and physically prepare yourself for its arrival, right? A good tip would be to check Google Play every now and then, but you already know that. We’ll keep you posted!
