This is what folks in the United Kingdom have been waiting a long time for, having Netflix available. Well the time has finally come, those of you in the UK can now watch movies and TV shows on Netflix just like us, American, have been doing for quite a while. Don’t forget the Android app is now working in the UK as well.

Reports have been drifting across the web over the last few days about PS3’s in the UK mysteriously receiving a Netflix application but that signup wasn’t yet possible. But now, you can head on over to right now and sign up for a one month free trial to the service which will cost just £5.99 a month thereafter to stream as much content as you like.

It seems that there is a pretty good amount of content at launch of Netflix in the UK, but we fully expect much more to come. So go ahead and sign up for your free month, and download the app in the source link and start watching your favorite movies. Seems that the app is available for almost all Android 2.2 and up devices.

For our UK readers, how are you liking Netflix so far? Let us know in the comments.

  • Having been an avid user of Lovefilm I was blown away by Netflix when it arrived in Blighty.
It has really showed up how poor LF was in comparison.
I use it via my PS3 and laptop. I use it with my smartphone while waiting for my girlfriend at Tescos. It streams flawlessly, seriously no problems at all, even over 3g. It does still feel strange watching a film in a car park. The 21st Century Drive-in ? lol.
