EA’s Need for Speed is, by far, the most popular PC racing video game franchise of the past decade or so. But the Android versions of the series have either been released a bit too late or they simply haven’t been as good as the big screen titles.

That might well change with the latest NFS installment, Most Wanted (2012 version), which has just been confirmed as hitting every gaming platform possible, including Android, at the same time. The launch will happen on October 30 and will see the fresh new racing game made available on Android, as well as PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and iOS.

The details on the game’s storyline, graphics, and gameplay are scarce at best, and, for the time being, we only have a short trailer showing off how will the game look on large screens. On the other hand, we can safely assume that the Android version of the new Most Wanted will come with pretty much the same spectacular graphics as on all other platforms, with smooth controls and a basic, but engaging plot.

As far as pricing goes, we can’t tell you anything the least bit official, but we would expect the new game to go for at least as much as Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, currently available in Google Play for $4.99.

Check out the full trailer below and keep in touch with our website over the next few months, when we’ll surely find out more on what to expect from Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2012 for Android. In the meantime, tell us what would you like to see from EA’s newest racing mobile game and how popular do you think it will become on Android.

why does it say then, in the video description that it will only be available for iOS? Also, any idea of the specs needed to run this game? A tegra 3 will suffice or are we going to have to wait for the next generation of Kepler processors?
