Hot on the heels of the release of the tablet-optimized Firefox 15, a new beta version of the popular Android browser has popped up on Google Play. What’s in store for Firefox 16 Beta?

Reader Mode. The latest Firefox beta comes with a new Reader Mode, which allows users to get the meat of the content without being polluted with ads. The reader mode will also reformat images and make the font size bigger for better readability. To activate the mode, you simply have to tap on the “Reader” icon in the Awesome Bar.

Share Button. You can also easily share pages easily with others by tapping on the Share button, which is located on the bottom right of the page.  For now, it supports sharing via Bluetooth, email and SMS.

Other improvements and changes that the Firefox 16 beta brings include:

    • Fixed Text Selection for static web pages
    • Unprefixed CSS3 Animations, Transitions, Transforms and Gradients
    • Opus Support
    • Improved JavaScript responsiveness
