By Darcy LaCouvee January 24, 2011 0 1 0 1 We cannot believe they are actually trying to sell the Xoom for $699.99. Although our buddies at IFixit and Isuppli haven’t had the chance to do a tear down yet, we have communicated to them and they are saying the cost of the device should cost around $330 to manufacture. That being said, it is one amazing device. We have found some shots of Best Buy’s internal system that show the Motorola XOOM launching February 17th, but for $699.99 instead of the $799.99 we saw in Verizon leaks late last week. It’s important to note that Verizon allows their retail partners to set their own price for the device, which would describe the discrepancy. We’re just over a week away from February, so we should see soon enough – through advertisements – whether or not these rumored release dates will stand true. Check out the links. What would be the sweet spot price for this badboy? Check out the cost on the Ipad below to get an idea of what the companies are paying to have these sweet devices made: Advertisement 0 1 0 previous postSamsung Galaxy S, Galaxy Tab to Get Gingerbread in Five Monthsnext postQuad Core for Mobile Tegra 3 Coming Soon!
