I am pretty sure that Canadians are already buzzing around the first ever Android 3.0 Honeycomb running tablet, the Motorola Xoom. The so-called super powerful tablet from Motorola has already been made available on the market in Canada. And guess what, it has already been sold out! Not quite a surprise since we know that it was highly anticipated and the first wave that was available for today’s launch was only 580 tablets. The Xoom had been up for pre-order at Future Shop and Best Buy or $599. Well, don’t get upset if you were not able to get one today. There will be more shipments to come very soon. It is also expected to launch soon on Telus too!
Can the Motorola Xoom compete with the iPad? Yes, indeed. Seriously, the Motorola Xoom can be one of the iPad’s competitors. With its super powerful dual core processor and a sporting 10.1 inch HD widescreen display, you’ll surely find yourself delighted with it.
The Motorola Xoom could embody the next generation of tablet evolution. What more can you ask for?

Only 580 units on launch day? Where did you get that number?
You can find it here:
Apparently only 580 units. I’m sure more will be available very soon.
If the figures are right that Motorola Xoom sold only a total of 100,000 units compared to the 350,000 to 400,000 range of Apple iPad 2, then it is really a no contest. I did not expect it to be like this. I thought that Xoom will be a very close second since they are highly regarded as a better choice than iPad 2. It seems that all the so-called experts who predicted that Xoom will be the next big thing are thinking how it failed. But on the other hand, they are right that Xoom is far more superior, specs wise. It is just too early to count out Xoom since they are just released in the market for few weeks.
DO NOT BUY A MOTOROLA TABLET, WE BOUGHT ONE 3 WEEKS AGO. ON A HOLIDAY TO GREECE BY HUSBAND TOOK THE CHIP OUT OF HIS CAMERA AND TRIED TO PLACE IT IN THE TABLET IN DOING SO LAST THE MICROCHIP INSIDE THE TABLET. I HAVE FOR THE LAST WEEK BEEN TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH MOTOROLA TO FIND OUT HOW WE CAN HAVE THE CHIP REMOVED BUT WITH NO LUCK WHATSOEVER. ONE DEPT. PUTS ME ONTO ANOTHER AND I AM GETTING NOWHERE WITH THEM I ALSO EMAILED AND FAXED THERE SERVICE SUCKS AND WE ARE STILL LEFT WITH THE CHIP INSIDE THE TABLET
