Reuters are reporting that Verizon and Motorola are teaming up to offer an iPad competitor. Details are sketchy at the moment but it would appear as though this tablet device will sport a 10” display and provide dual cameras for video conferencing.
The device is purported to take advantage of Verizon’s TV service, FiOS. Whether this support would mean streaming to the tablet from within the home or the ability to load TV programming onto the tablet for later viewing remains unclear.
Verizon and Motorola are both refusing to comment upon the speculation. The tablet is supposed to offer Flash, which suggests to my mind that it will release with Android 2.2, assuming it comes this year.
