By Susan Ellery December 30, 2009 0 0 0 184 CES 2010 is coming fast and the rumors about what will be announced next week at the industry’s largest trade show are starting to flow. Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry jumped on the Android rumor bandwagon by predicting that Motorola will debut two new Android handsets with OLED displays during its pre-CES press conference on January 6th. One handset will be a Google experience phone (i.e., no MOTOBLUR) with a QWERTY keyboard and is headed to AT&T, while the other will debut with Verizon Wireless and will feature a soft keyboard. It will be interesting to see how this plays out next week as this prediction flies in the face of current rumors which place the Motorola Backflip en route to AT&T and the Motorola Devour A555 headed to Verizon Wireless. Neither phone matches Chowdhry’s predictions as the Backflip supposedly runs MOTOBLUR and has not been mentioned to have an OLED screen and the Verizon Wireless Devour is rumored to be a slider with a full QWERTY keyboard and is an entry-level device that does not include an OLED display. Fingers crossed that all the rumors are correct and Motorola will be launching not two, but four new handsets next week.
