At an investors conference today, Verizon Wireless CEO Lowell McAdam said that his company will offer Android based smartphones by the end of the year, and he hinted that they will be coming from Motorola,…
Another nice piece of rumorific news today is that what a Russian website is calling the Motorola Sholes, a new high-end Android powered handset that appears to be headed for Verizon.
According to the site, the Sholes features a large 3.7-inch touchscreen display with a whopping 480 x 854 pixel resolution. They also claim it has a half-Gig of internal storage and supports 16GB microSD cards, comes with a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, and has a 3.5mm headphone port. GPS and a decent 1400mAh battery are also on-board, according to the site.
The claimed dimensions of 60mm x 115.8mm x 13.7mm (2.4in x 4.6in x .5in) and 169g (6.0oz) are pretty hefty, though.
The claim is for an October launch date. Gallery after the jump.
