Guess who’s in a playful mood this week? Motorola is asking fans on its Facebook page to guess what new phone the company is going to launch by the end of the week. Each day, there will be a clue given before the big reveal on Friday, with the first one being: “I have the power of 4G LTE.”

Given that most smartphones now come with 4G LTE radio, relying on the first clue alone won’t probably get you far. You could play along and wait for the next clue – or you could just declare yourself as the winner by guessing that Motorola is preparing to unleash the Droid Razr HD. You’ll have to fight out the non-existent prize with other folks who have gotten it right as well, though.

The Motorola Droid Razr HD is poised to bring the high-end Razr series from its long slumber, following the January release of the Droid Razr Maxx.  Moto’s upcoming flagship phone has been spotted numerous times in an unofficial photoshoot set, the last one being last Friday. The leaked photos revealed much what one is to expect to see from Droid phones, from its Kevlar back cover and thin body, to the ‘better than most’ battery.

We last heard that the Motorola Droid Razr HD is going to pack a 2,530mAh battery. The phone should also host a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, HD display with on-screen buttons, and Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.

  • I doubt the battery will be that big in this version. Probably will be in the maxx version tho..

The current RAZR MAXX has a 3300mAh battery in it, actually. I think a 2,530mAh battery for this one is plausible.

      • actually now that you mention it, it does sound quite plausible. ;)

Today’s “clue” on Motorola’s Facebook page states that the phone is “already in service in the U.S.” That rules out an announcement of the Droid Razr HD as the phone to be revealed Friday. Shame on them if they were building Razr HD hype just to let us down on day two of the game.
    I don’t think Motorola thought this through…
