I’m sitting in the press room of the GigaOM Mobilize 2009 conference after having just seen the official launch of the Motorola CLIQ, as presented by Moto’s CEO, Sanjay Jha. We didn’t get a close-up…

Motorola DROID for Verizon
This bug is one to remember, that’s for sure. Most of the reviews of the Motorola DROID hit the phone hard for being mostly useless as a still camera due to the awful focusing system.
The thing is, the focus started working very recently. In fact, the focusing is very good all of a sudden (though still not perfect, as you’ll see). The reason? A date based bug in the camera application. The focus is good today and should be good for another 24.5 days, according to Google Engineer Dan Morrill.
I’ve included a gallery of new photos taken with the DROID after the jump.
