Motorola DROID X firmware update rolling out

    Motorola DROID X for Verizon

    Verizon’s Motorola DROID X Android smartphone is the recipient of a new firmware update.  Version 1.13.604 is being pushed out to DROID X users now and improvements include:

    • redesigned weather widget
    • improved battery status indicator
    • favorite contacts sorted by frequency
    • faster Exchange email loading
    • improved 3G mobile hotspot ability
    • new GPS symbol for the notification area
    • faster visual voicemail loading

    The update also include the My Verizon and Amazon Kindle e-book reader as pre-loaded applications.  More info can be found at the Verizon website.
