Based on U.S. consumer purchases of mobile devices in Q2, Motorola’s DROID smartphone is the top Android device. The second most favored Android smartphone is the HTC DROID Incredible. Both are sold by Verizon Wireless. HTC’s EVO 4G and Hero follow in third and fourth place, with both being offered by Sprint. In fifth place is Verizon’s HTC DROID Eris smartphone.
