Motorola Droid RAZR HD

Like the sound of paying just $49.99 for a reasonably high-end smartphone? New customers to Verizon can now grab the Motorola Droid RAZR HD at this bargain price through Amazon Wireless.

Unfortunately, the deal isn’t without a catch. The $49.99 pricing only applies to new customers willing to sign a two-year agreement. If you are a current Verizon subscriber and are thinking about upgrading to the RAZR HD, you’ll have to pay $99 with a two-year contract. Still, even $99 through Amazon Wireless is considerably cheaper than the $199.99 you’d pay by going directly through Verizon.

With the Droid RAZR HD you get a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED display and 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. Additionally there is a 2530mAh battery, 8MP shooter and LTE support. As for the OS, the RAZR HD originally came with ICS but as of December an update to Android Jelly Bean has been made available.

Want a bit more battery power? You can also get the RAZR HD MAXX for just $99. What do you think, would you be willing to drop your carrier and sign up with Verizon in order to get your hands on the Motorola Droid RAZR HD or HD MAXX?
