Motorola Droid RAZR – 7.1mm Thin, Kevlar, 1.2GHz Dual Core, Super AMOLED qHD

by: AlexanderOctober 18, 2011

After Motorola announced the MotoACTV just a few minutes ago, they jumped right into the Droid RAZR. All the specs, and great features are detailed below for your liking.

  • 7.1 mm thin – “impossibly thin”
  • 127 grams
  • Kevlar
  • Gorilla Glass
  • Splash Guard
  • 1.2GHZ processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced qHD display
  • 8MP camrea with 1080p video
  • MotoCast
  • 12.5 hours talk time/8.9 hours video playback
  • Webtop
  • 1780 mAh battery
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • Running Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread
  • No NFC support

New software called Smart Actions is supposed to take care of some certain tasks in the background, like turning off Bluetooth and GPS when you’re at home. Or if you’re at 20 percent battery, it’ll dim the display automatically, or slow the processor. Motorola claims you can get up to 30% more battery life because of this.

The RAZR also has MotoCast, which is another place for you to store your data in the cloud. As if there wasn’t enough places to do this before, right?

You can sync your MotoACTV with your Droid RAZR, for example if you get a call on your RAZR it will show up on your MotoACTV.

Droid RAZR is $299 on contract, pre-orders begin October 27th. Are you picking one up?

Honestly if this thing had ICS on it I think I’d be willing to pay my way out of my contract to get it, but since not I think I’ll wait till my contract is up and see what things are like then. I am really excited about the web top stuff (though I’m hoping…maybe dreaming…that ICS will result in something like this being able to be more integrated).

  • Great piece !!! Motorola is going well

the 7.1 mm measurement is misleading, there is that thicker portion in the upper part….well, what do you expect from SAME SOON/GOOGLE tandem?
