Sales of the Motorola DROID are exceeding analysts expectations. Expected to sell 600,000 DROIDS in 2009, Verizon Wireless and Motorola are estimated to have sold between 700,000-800,000 units with approximately four weeks left in the year. Effective advertising coupled with positive reviews have created a demand for the handset with high volume Verizon Wireless stores reportedly selling 100-200 units per week since launch. If sales continue at this clip, both companies will easily meet their goal of selling one million devices in the fourth quarter of this year. Congratulations, Verizon and Motorola! Looks like you got a winner on your hands.
