Motorola DROID named Time's top gadget of the year

The almighty Motorola DROID has come out on top in Time Magazine’s annual top 10 listing of best gadgets of the year. Beating out devices such as the Nook and iPhone 3GS, amongst others, some would say that the DROID was a relative underdog in the contest. Nobody can deny the fact that the first official phone to run Android 2.0 has made shock waves in the industry since it’s veiled discovery. This phone, along with Verizon’s new “there’s a map for that” campaign have seemed to push AT&T back on its heels a bit in an effort to save face. The momentum is definitely with the DROID and it doesn’t seem to be letting up anytime soon. Congratulations to Motorola and Google grabbing the top spot in a field of incredible gadgets.
