If App sales are any indication, the Motorola DROID is topping the charts as the most popular Android device. According to mobile application analytic firm Flurry, the Motorola DROID accounted for 49% of all applications purchased from the Android Market on Christmas day in the US. The DROID was followed by the myTouch 3G with 18%, HTC Hero with 17% and the G1 with 16%. Overall in the month of December, app sales rose 20% from the previous month. With a hot new handset fueling growth, Android is ending 2009 on an upswing.
