Thinking about it, it’s been a while since we’ve seen a full QWERTY keyboard on a high-end Android device. Even though there are still several keyboard equipped phones being released to the public, it is very rare that they achieve flagship characteristics. This is why Motorola has held the reigning title for flagship devices that contain a full keyboard ever since the release of the original Droid.
Yet again, the title has been revised with the release of the most recent Motorola Droid 4. In an effort to stay true to its tradition, it contains the same features that have made the brand famous. Despite the lack of information on the full specs of the new Droid, we can only expect that it will have a 4-inch display along with LTE connectivity. With regards to its façade, it will most likely resemble the Droid RAZR’s design and dimension. But considering that it has an attached keyboard, we can’t exactly say the same for its thinness. Although, it can still be considered pretty slim contrasting to others of its same kind.
With regards to its release date, we have a huge feeling that it will be on December 8. After all, we believe Verizon will be using this same date to release members of its new lineup such as the two different Xyboard variations and the Galaxy Nexus. Despite the intense anticipation on the Nexus, the Droid 4 might get overshadowed come release date. But for anyone who prefers having a physical keyboard on their Android, it still is a remarkable candidate.
What do you think? Will you be getting the Droid 4 or the Nexus? Let us know in the comments below.

I think I’ll hold out for the Motorola RazrMax HD. Just wishing it’d have a removable battery. Hmm.
Title indicates the D4 “gets a release date”…Where is it? All you did was reiterate what’s been posted all over the net for the last month…..I have a “huge feeling” this was a meaningless write-up….
yeah they don’t have the pic here….but there’s more shots of internal vzw systems confirming the droid 4 is dropping on the 8th, and receiving POP for the nexus on the same day….which almost always means it drops the following day.
If you’ve been reading the article, you’ll find this information there!
With regards to its release date, we have a huge feeling that it will be on December 8.
Look with your eyes not your mouth!
No, it does not. The link for the Nexus takes you to an article from Nov that is completely wrong. “We have a huge feeling” is not a release date, that’s a hunch. Nothing is confirmed yet.
Does anyone know if there will be a GSM/HSPA+ version (T-Mobile)?
This was a very misleading “article”. Nothing you have said here is new information.
The key for me is whether either of the devices will work overseas (GSM).
most likely won’t work on GSM since its like the razr, however if the country has a network like verizon’s, I can’t remember what it is, or if the country has lte networks in the future it will work on those networks
I have been a Blackberry user for few years, and think the Torch is a fine solidly built phone. However, I have been lusting over the droid phones, the large screens and full keyboards. I waited until I saw a phone that had everything I wanted: large screen, big kybrd, front/back cameras, global and 4g with dual processors. I think that is the Droid 4. I want to leave ATT also, but that’s another story. My only concern is the security. Blackberry is well known for being a secure platform, I’m still not sure about these Google phones, but I can’t help myself. I will break my contract, pay the fine, and get my Droid 4!!
I’m soooo ready for a droid razr but with a physical keyboard hell yeah I’m buyin the droid 4
Droid 4 of course… gotta have they keyboard…
Misleading!! I only read this because it implied that you actually had a release date. You are only speculating like everyone else. What a crock. Why don’t you write something worth reading so you don’t have to lie to get people to read your articles.
December 8 is here and the Droid 4 is not. Any news?
I have the Droid 2 and its great, can’t wait for the 4…
It’s the 8th and I’ve already sold my tablet device in anticipation of this day. Where’s the phone!!! :(
