Thinking about it, it’s been a while since we’ve seen a full QWERTY keyboard on a high-end Android device. Even though there are still several keyboard equipped phones being released to the public, it is very rare that they achieve flagship characteristics. This is why Motorola has held the reigning title for flagship devices that contain a full keyboard ever since the release of the original Droid.

Yet again, the title has been revised with the release of the most recent Motorola Droid 4. In an effort to stay true to its tradition, it contains the same features that have made the brand famous. Despite the lack of information on the full specs of the new Droid, we can only expect that it will have a 4-inch display along with LTE connectivity. With regards to its façade, it will most likely resemble the Droid RAZR’s design and dimension. But considering that it has an attached keyboard, we can’t exactly say the same for its thinness. Although, it can still be considered pretty slim contrasting to others of its same kind.

With regards to its release date, we have a huge feeling that it will be on December 8. After all, we believe Verizon will be using this same date to release members of its new lineup such as the two different Xyboard variations and the Galaxy Nexus. Despite the intense anticipation on the Nexus, the Droid 4 might get overshadowed come release date. But for anyone who prefers having a physical keyboard on their Android, it still is a remarkable candidate.

What do you think? Will you be getting the Droid 4 or the Nexus? Let us know in the comments below.
