Just a reminder, folks. The Motorola CLIQ is now up for pre-order at the T-Mobile USA website for existing customers. It costs $199.99 with a two-year contract (or extension) and costs $449.98 without a contract or contract extension.

It was never worded completly clearly, but it seems that pre-orders will ship before the device becomes generally available at retail stores on November 2.

I called customer service to add a line with the click and the rep said I had to go online. Well that’s dumb. Its simply yet another hurdle for me to give my money to T-Mobile!
So I login to my account online and it only allows me to upgrade my G1 for $369.98. I don’t want to upgrade! I want to add a new line of service with a data plan and 2 year agreement!
What’s going on here? Does it make sense that T-mobile is restricting this pre-ordering to only upgrades and not additional lines of service for existing T-Mobile customers?
