During the big special event by Motorola Mobility today, they announced the MotoACTV. It’s basically their answer to the iPod Nano, by Apple. Some of the key features include:

  • Heart rate monitor, can track your heart rate through the headphones
  • GPS for tracking, looks like for the same functionality as Nike+
  • Features a unique music recommendation engine that learns what music motivates you
  • Best of all, it runs Android

According to Bob Harper, from the Biggest Loser, it’s a game changer. He also loves the idea that it tracks calories, count steps, and motivates people that aren’t necessarily fitness gurus.

Available nationwide November 6, 8GB and 16GB models starting at $249. Will you be picking one up?
