Finally Verizon and Motorola have made the Droid 4 announcement. We have been seeing rumors for quite a while now about release dates, announcement dates and specs. Although the specifications rumors look to have been mostly true. The Droid 4 is a 0.5-inch thick 4G LTE Device on Verizon. Featuring a 4-inch qHD Display powered by a 1.2 Dual-Core Processor, with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage on board. Oh and don’t forget the 8-megapixel camera that can shoot 1080p video recording.

Verizon did not give any specific dates or prices yet, but we are expecting more in the coming weeks from Verizon about this LTE device. I am suspecting a $249-299 price tag with a 2-year contract and $649-799 as the full price, since that is what most of Verizon’s LTE devices are going for now. How much do you think or hope the Droid 4 will go for? Are you going to upgrade to the Droid 4? Or are you waiting on a different device? Stay tuned, plenty more Android phones will be announced this week.

Please tell us if this phone is Global (GSM)?

Yes, please! So far rumors are either way — that it is global-ready or that it’s not global ready. However, it would be nice to cut through the rumors and get solid confirmation from somebody at the Motorola booth at CES.

According to the press release from Motorola it is not Global. However it does not say anything about it being global so perhaps they left it out?

“most powerful 4G LTE QWERTY smartphone”

    I actually find that unfortunate.

Also, no confirmation on the global features. Hopefully, Verizon didn’t kill it like on the Razr.
