Moto X

The Moto X is a great phone, but there’s a thing that makes a great phone even better, and that’s a nice sale. If you missed your last chance to get the unlocked Moto X for $150 off, you now have another shot at it, thanks to a deal ran by Motorola together with the Today Show.

Here’s how it works – provides the coupon code “todayshow50” that you can use on this Motorola registration page to get a special code that you can later use to order the Moto X of your dreams. Just like the two days of promos following the botched Cyber Monday deal, you will only need to register for the promo now. You then have four days to visit Moto Maker and customize your phone to your liking, though, unsurprisingly, the hot new Bamboo option isn’t part of the deal. The promo is open to US residents only.

Registering for the promo lets you buy the unlocked 16GB Moto X for $350, while the 32GB version goes for $400. If you want the Moto X with a carrier contract, the promo lets you have it for $50 on Sprint and AT&T and just $30 on Verizon. If you just want an accessory, the same promo code will take 50 percent off the price of most Motorola accessories.

The limited deal lasts until tomorrow, December 21, at 8PM EST, or until supplies run out. Get onboard here, with the “todayshow50” code or read the FAQ here to learn all the details.

For US customers only, let me guess? Blah

Since Moto X is only available in the US, you don’t really need to guess for whom the sale is…

Nope, it’s available(in non-customizable format) here in Canada too. And yes this version is assembled in China.

        • Valtheus

I didn’t know it was available in Canada, so my bad. I don’t get your China comment though.

Unlike the US version of the Moto X where the phone(the shell, volume buttons and so on) are yours to customize on what color and even the materials used(wood vs plastic and so on), the Canadian version of the Moto X does not go anywhere near the US for assembly. It is wholly made in China, and comes in either black or white.

    That’s really a cool discount…..

Great phone. Not a super beast, but just a smart, smooth, all around great performer. I got one for $300 on Republic Wireless. Just wish they’d had the 32 GB option so I could store more music.

Good to see Motorola still pushing sales for the Moto X. I say, get the X & G into peoples hands, even if Motorola doesn’t make much money off of them, and let them see how good the devices and Motorola are these days. That will go a long way in promoting their next devices. Just keep up the good work Motorola!
