Earlier this week a new Moto X update began rolling out to T-Mobile users, bringing with tons of camera enhancements, as well as a few smaller improvements. Now it’s Sprint’s turn to get in on the action!
Dubbed build 13.9.0Q2.X-116-MX-17-57-1, the new Sprint Moto X upgrade seems to feature the exact same changes as T-Mobile users received. For those that need a recap, that means a few minor bug fixes for Moto Care and Motorola Assist Driving Detection, improved voice quality, enhanced touchless control accuracy and tons of camera improvements.
What kind of camera improvements? Specifically, the updated camera software should deliver better color accuracy, improved exposure for backlit/outdoor scenes, enhanced auto-white balance performance and reduced noise for low-light scenes. Additionally, the handset should now provide faster touch to focus time and faster switching between the rear and front-facing cameras.
If the update has yet to reach you yet, don’t worry – it’s coming. Sprint has confirmed the update will rollout in stages, so it may take a few days to reach everyone.
What about Verizon and AT&T Moto X owners, when can they expect the update? Considering Verizon’s history, Big Red users will probably be waiting a while for this one. As for AT&T, the update could be just around the corner.
Apparently a soak test has now begun for a new AT&T Moto X software update. While details are scarce about the update, it seems likely that this software upgrade is the same one that has already been received by T-Mobile and Sprint users.

Well, good job for the sort of speedy release. Of course, it may have been better had the camera, a highlighted selling point, not needed one out of the box…
