The Moto G5, or Moto G 2017, is expected to be launched in March and a new leak might have revealed its final specs.

The 5th generation of the Moto G devices are expected to be on their way soon. We’ve already heard rumors regarding a prospective Moto G5 Plus, including leaked photos (seen above) and specs information, but now it’s time for the regular Moto G5.

Brazilian tech website Tecnoblog claims to have gotten its hands on the specs of the Moto G5 (model number XT1672) from a database of a major retailer. According to the leak, the device would have:

  • 5-inch FHD (1080p) display
  • Snapdragon 430 processor (octa-core), Adreno 505 GPU
  • 13MP rear camera. 5MP front camera
  • 2GB RAM
  • 32GB storage
  • 2800 mAh battery
  • Android 7.0

Images of the Moto G5 weren’t leaked like the Moto G5 Plus, but it’s expected to feature the same design language simply in a smaller form factor.

If the rumored Moto G5 specs above are accurate, it would mean that its RAM, cameras, screen resolution and internal storage space remain the same as its predecessor, the Moto G4, with the battery life decreasing 200 mAh (though the device would be smaller, too). Based on this information, the processor would be the only place to receive an upgrade — at least in terms of the raw numbers. Lenovo could be targeting other areas for improvement, however, such as a metal body, improved audio or water-resistance.

There’s no indication of what the Moto G5 price would be, but expect it to be similar to that of the Moto G4, which launched for $199.

For comparison, here’s how the specs of the Moto G5 Plus look based on the previous rumor. Note that this device is said to retain the 5.5-inch display size of the Moto G4 and G4 Plus.

  • 5.5-inch FHD (1080p) display
  • Snapdragon 625 processor (octa-core), Adreno 506 GPU
  • 13MP rear camera. 5MP front camera
  • 4GB RAM
  • 32GB storage
  • 3080mAh battery
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • Android 7.0 Nougat

The Moto G5 series is tipped for a March release — the Moto G4 series arrived in May 2016, but they’re usually updated within 10 or 11 months — so we’re likely to see more leaks in coming weeks.
