    Motorola Moto G aa 7

When it comes to good return for your investment, you can’t really get much better than the Moto G. Packing an HD screen and a capable processor, this KitKat-powered device is clearly the better deal compared to most devices in its price range.

If you want a phone to use on Verizon’s prepaid plans, the Moto G is a great option, and it gets even better when you can buy it for just $70 with free shipping from Amazon. That’s a 30% off deal, and you probably won’t find a better option.

Note that this is a CMDA phone with no SIM card, and that you will need to activate it on one of Verizon’s prepaid plan in order to use it.

According to the product page, “this phone is NOT compatible with Verizon contract plans. It is a designated no-contract phone and will not work as a replacement device on an existing Verizon contract.”

If you’re fine with this limitations, check out our hands-on review for more details.

What about prepaid Page Plus which uses Vz network?

Ive tried a lot but i still dont understand devices being sold by Verizon or AT&T for a very small price. I’m not from the USA so can anyone please explain to me the limitations of this device???

      • Luka Mlinar

Well as i understand it Verizon is CDMA so good luck using their device anywhere else. Someone correct me if i’m wrong.

Would this work on Pageplus (MVNO that uses Verizon network)?

      • lots3say

No. Verizon Prepaid only. After 6 months, Verizon might unlock it, but it still would not work on PagePlus without some kind of modification.

I am getting one for a music player!!!!

      • Matthew DiGiacomo

Yeah would there be any issue with doing this?

        • apianist16

I wouldn’t think so. Though you may have to do a little monkeying with it to keep it from asking you to activate it all the time.

I’m not sure, but, perhaps rooting it and tossing another rom like CM11 could be a way to keep it from nagging? I’ve never had a phone push for that before, so I’m not fully certain how to prevent something I’ve not encountered.

I’m heading to Best Buy after work today to do the same. It’s $70 at Best Buy too.
But wait… what’s the “asking you to activate it all the time” thing? I’ve never had a prepaid Verizon phone. XD

Can I buy it for a mini web browser and music player without activating it? I assume the wifi will work without activation, right?
