Moto G shells now available for order, starting at $14.99

Just yesterday we learned that the Moto G would be coming to the United States ahead of schedule, slated to ship by December 2nd. Now Motorola has also officially introduced its optional replacement back covers in two different styles, a standard shell or a flip shell.

The standard shell comes in six different colors: chalk, violet, royal blue, tourquoise, lemon lime and cherry. The flip shell comes in the same six colors with the addition of black. As for how the flip cover works, it basically has a back that can flip around to cover the front of the device sort of in the same vein as the Samsung flip cover. When covering the front, it also switches off the phone’s display.

While some folks might feel that the customizable covers are unnecessary, it’s still a fun way to change up the design of the handset, allowing the Moto G to further stand out in a crowd. So how much do the new replaceable backs cost you? The base version is just $14.99, whereas the flip cover is $29.99.

What do you think – planning on picking up the Moto G? Like the idea of replaceable backs or not?

yeah but you sell things for a profit! motorola have to make some money somewhere since the G is so cheap

Yeah, sell a $1.50 piece of plastic for $29.99. I’m not opposed to companies making a profit, but c’mon.

The Moto G is better than my own (DROID RAZR MAXX). Mine is Sluggish, laggy, glitch and slowly. Who’s same my boat? That’s true, Motorola have been problems speakers and camera.
