While those in the United States still have to wait until January to get their hands on the ultra-affordable Moto G, Motorola’s new budget handset has now arrived to Canada by way of TELUS and Koodo Mobile.
Though not necessarily as cheap as United State’s promised price tag of $179, the Moto G is just $200 outright in Canada, or free with a new two-year contract from TELUS or Koodo. Besides the low-price, what makes the Moto G so special? Basically the Moto G is the first handset to combine sub-$250 pricing with reasonably high-end specs — expect for maybe the Nexus 4 when it was discounted down for quick sale.
As a refresher, the Moto G is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU with 1GB of RAM. Other specs include a 4.5-inch 1280×720 resolution display, a 5MP rear cam, 1.3MP front cam, a 2070 mAh battery and 8GB of internal storage.
As you can see, there’s a lot to like about the Moto G in terms of specs, and its extremely affordable pricing certainly doesn’t hurt any. How about it, anyone planning on picking up the Moto G?
