Modern Combat 5: Blackout launching July 24th

by: Edgar CervantesJuly 9, 2014

The Modern Combat franchise has become iconic within mobile first person shooters (fps). Gameloft’s popular game series has always represented the future of mobile gaming, with stunning graphics, complex gameplay and strong story lines. Now it’s time for Modern Combat 5: Blackout to launch, and a release date has finally been announced!

We have been expecting this game since last year. Following countless teasers, the latest Modern Combat will reach the Google Play Store this July 24th. Packed with new vehicles, maps and improved graphics, Modern Combat 5: Blackout will cost only $6.99.

This price may seem a bit high for an Android game, but it is not much considering you get the full experience with no further in-app purchases. Not to mention, Modern Combat titles are not your usual casual games. These are as close as we can get to reaching console quality on mobile.

Users will be able to choose from four classes: assault, heavy, recon and sniper. Even more interesting is the multiplayer mode, which will run online and support up to 12 players per match. You can choose your own fun, with options like Capture the Flag, Free for All, Team Battle and VIP readily available.

We also know the game will be set in Europe this time, taking us to new and fresh horizons. Take a look at the trailer and let’s stay put for July 24th, which is only 2 weeks away!

MC4’s multiplayer was really well done, didn’t lag even with S2 and was playable with Huawei Ideos X5! Never cared about the story of these, but MC is really the closest thing to BF/COD on mobile.

I’m sad I can’t remember my account name, I broke the level limit on MC3 and 4 and would like to continue doing that >:)

With screen casting via Chromecast, I’m looking forward to how the visuals hold up on the big screen! :D

But casting won’t give you good FPS (frames per second)

Latency is a problem. We need an updated chromecast 5GHZ AC standard more RAM better CPU.

Depend on hardware requirement. If MC5 can run on the same hardware as MC4 then I’ll get this. Otherwise no. My phone can run MC4 and MC3 just fine anyway.

$7 hmm.. I expect no higher than $5. But we’ll see.

Google is paying 80$ per hour! Work for few hours and have more time with

friends & family! On tuesday I got a great new Land Rover Range Rover from

having earned $4151 this last four weeks. Its the most-financialy rewarding I’ve

had. It sounds unbelievable but you wont forgive yourself if you don’t check it

It will be cool if they put in app purchase for every bullet fired .
