It looks like France Mcdonalds, in the most unexpected fashion, is undertaking a beta testing phase with Paypal. There is an increasing interest in mobile payments with the advent of NFC, and it is certain the mega-chain does not want to be left in the dust.

Dunkin Donuts, as we reported recently, is also using mobile payments as a way to offer convenient options to those who are busy or have smaller orders and don’t want to stand in line. Mcdonalds has crafted their own app to deliver the same type of service: customers hit up the mobile app, purchase their order, and stand in a separate express line for pickup.

In conclusion, only 30 McDonald’s restaurants are participating in the trial, among the 30,000 that exist worldwide. With all eyes set on France, the new world of mobile payments in a wide range of store categories seems to be picking up popularity.

WOW! The reviews are pretty bad. AA, you might want to wait reporting on an app until they get it working properly.
