Live, close-up video of the HTC Magic (Sapphire) for Vodafone

OK, I’m still wickedly short on time, so here is the video and the photos.  It’s a nice devicelike a G1 minus the keyboard and the associated thickness.  The OS appears to be Cupcake from what I can tell, firmware revision 1.5.  Looks just like what we’ve seen in the emulator.  I will post additional details and thoughts if I ever get a chance.  Hectic schedule here in Barcelona.

    The touch screen seems a bit faulty.
    You had to press the screen a few times for it to register

    talk about a lack of wow factor. I’ve been holding out for this phone, but the response speed of the interface appears to be terrible. Given that this is a pre-production model that may explain it, however with the UK release date of April, i’m concerned that this version can’t be far of the production model. which is worrying
