After announcing the LG Optimus G Pro version for Japan a few weeks ago, LG is now ready to unveil the 5.5-inch version of the phone that will hit several markets in late February, according to the company’s just released press materials.

The official documentation is still lacking, and we’re yet to see most of the specs and features of the phone printed on paper, although we don’t expect many surprises.

But LG is ready to share with the world that the handset features a 5.5-inch Full HD display that will offer users a 2.5D effect thanks to the use of curved glass for this particular panel.

The LG Optimus G Pro will offer users a quad-core processor, not that we expected otherwise, and will feature a Nexus 4-like “Digital Cube” effect on the back. As you can see from the images, the handset will be available in black and white and will pack a rather slim bezel.

Pricing details and actual launch dates for various markets have not been offered yet, but we expect more details to hit the web in the coming weeks, as we get closer to MWC, where LG will surely bring the handset.

Nice. That front button looks kind of small though.

Samsung will have a lawsuit against LG because of the home button. It looks really S3ish……don’t ya think?

The camera looks like a one x. The back just looked like a curved nexus 4 and optimus g (which is OK because of the name) and the front looks like a note 2

And here you have the offspring of a Galaxy Note 2 and an HTC One X….
