Just a few hours ago we mentioned the LG Optimus G deal with Wirefly. And coming as a sort of expected happening, Sprint has also begun accepting pre-orders for the handset. The one catch — those choosing to shop direct with Sprint will be paying a bit more. In fact, the price with Sprint is $199.99 which means you will be paying $50 more.
Given that you will be getting the same handset and the same two-year agreement regardless of where you spend your money — we suggest going with Wirefly and saving a few dollars. Hey, that could be money towards your monthly cell phone bill, or towards a case or other accessory. But that being said, we also realize that some prefer to, and are only willing to shop direct with the carrier. So in an effort to hopefully ease your mind of shopping with a third party — I can say that I have personally bought devices from Wirefly. I purchased a smartphone and later a tablet, both with Verizon. More important though, the experience was no different than had I shopped with the carrier. Well, to be specific, it was different in one regard — I paid less.
The LG Optimus G is running Ice Cream Sandwich, but otherwise brings some really nice specs to include a 4.7-inch display, quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 2100 mAh battery and 13 megapixel rear facing camera. Finally, for those who need a little convincing, or want to learn more, we previously reviewed the LG Optimus G and you can read that review by clicking right here.
