Canadian carrier Fido will be launching the LG Nexus 4 on its network. The device is scheduled to launch “early February”. This is not long after Videotron will launch the device in Canada on January 30th. Pricing has not been announced on Fido yet.
There are, of course, concerns of the device going out of stock quickly. The Nexus 4 has been a hot seller worldwide. Thankfully you can guarantee yourself the device by reserving it through Fido’s Reservation System. They will require a $40 deposit though.
It is also possible that Bell Canada will have the Nexus 4 soon. They recently cut the Galaxy Nexus’ price to $350 outright. That is $300 off of its original pricing. Surely they are paving the way for the Nexus 4.
Much like T-Mobile, there is no doubt that carriers offering the Nexus 4 will charge an arm and a leg. Interested customers may want to look into the Google Play Store before purchasing from a carrier though, especially after LG’s interview with Challenges.fr.
LG France recently said that the company is increasing its Nexus 4 production. According to Cathy Rubin, LG France’s mobile division director, by mid February “there will no longer be any tension in the market.”
Will anyone be picking up a Nexus 4 when it is releases on Fido and Videotron?

Awesome! Hopefully we can buy the phone outright for $350 instead of being forced on a 3 year contract and money upfront…
