LG’s upcoming flagship device will be made official tomorrow during a special media event that will take place in New York City, but we already have a press render of the handset for you.
As with the blue HTC One version we’ve just shown you, the LG G2 image comes courtesy of @evleaks, whom we more than trust with such leaks.
While we’ve seen a variety of LG G2 image leaks so far – including a few provided by the same source – and we’re hardly expecting any surprises from the handset, this appears to be the first high-quality press image of the handset that makes its way online.
The device in the image below looks very much like what we’ve seen in previous reports. We’re looking at a rather big edge-to-edge display, and there are no buttons on the front side of the smartphone. Instead, we have two volume rockers and what’s said to be a power button on the back of the handset, underneath the camera.
The phone also has a very thin profile, and on the display there’s a clear hint at tomorrow’s event – the hour and date coincide with the announcement of the handset.
Word on the street is that the handset could be launched on August 8, right after it becomes official, but we’ll be able to tell you more details about the G2 in less than a day from now.
[Update:] @evleaks has posted a second press image, available above.
