The G2 is widely expected to feature a Snapdragon 800 processor, a 5.2-inch LCD Full HD display, 2GB or RAM and a 13MP camera. The most distinctive feature of the new phone (which some think may be the basis of the next Nexus) is the absence of physical buttons on the front and sides of the device, and their placement on the rear of the device.
The LG G2 is hardly a mystery, but that doesn’t mean LG can’t have a few surprises in store for Android lovers today. With the hope of an exciting event, we invite you to watch the livestream right here starting with 11AM EDT, or:

This is how you bring out a phone. Not sure why Motorola didn’t do this and make their case instead of get pounded just minutes after the release.
Anyway, here’s hoping the G2 brings something new to the table.
Two things I’m hoping to see:
1. The LG alternative take to Moto X’s always listening thing. As it is a built in feature of the Snap 800 SOC, I’d be very surprised if they haven’t something done with this.
2. No awful attempts at Broadway show lameness like that mess Samsung put on for the Galaxy S4 launch.
I just want somebody to show us what the phone can do, without dancing or singing, you know something like what Hugo Barra usually does for Google product announcements.
You were saying about Broadway theatrics? lol
Ah well, in fairness they have to sound enthusiastic, and say things like “wow” “it’s amazing” etc.
The music of the Vienna Boys Choir for a minute or two is close as they got to the cheddar we had last spring from Sammy. Thankfully there were no dance routines!
OMG that Broadway thing they did with the S4 made me want to stab myself with a 24 inch monitor. Who did they try to market the phone to..George Takei?
Changing my s4 to this.
FhD SuperAmoled screen is just not mature enough for mass production. My s4 screen has black and blue micro shuttering when scrolling up and down, I have changed the device 3 times in 2 different countries, battery issues, i have to charge the device 2 times a day, and the power saving option is not optimized.
Optimization, a word that in Samsung engineering labs is nowadays banned.
(Plus every time I´m on the train or bus or at work for that matter, I always hear whistling (Samsung notification sound), every one has the same smartphone.)
I was a faithful Samsung costumer, till the s4 came out in the market, an incomplete and over hyped mobile, that now days kids are showing off has their own creation. Samsung was clearly pointing to this sort of marketing and not about the quality of it.
Just like a fish, tempted by a motionless bite, i went for it and get trapped. But trust me Samsung, this is the last time.

10 or 11AM EDT? These timecodes are so fucking confusing -.-
17:00 central Europe (Germany)

i love you LG!
G2 sooner you will be mine!!!
so much excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So “just” 2Gb of RAM?
I think LG is now putting out better phones than Samsung, I had the Galaxy nexus, the the Optimus G,then the Note 2,now I have the Optimus G Pro. I’ll have this until LG comes out with a phone with at least a 5.5 inch screen and a snapdragon 800.I loved my Note 2 by the way.I think most problems with phones can be attributed to the operator speaking from my own experience,I took alot of trial and error and reading to learn how to get all of my phones to work well:-)
This music … gahhhhhh … is that DNA? … what are you doing LG?
3,000 MAh battery
wooww….. really?!?! lol these presenters make me laugh
i agree the LG g2 is a samsung s4 killer
Please don’t start with that “killer” crap. I’m begging you.
