Having a smartphone not only removes the need to wear a wristwatch, but it is also quite handy to quickly jot down some information when a piece of paper and pen are out of grasp. LG gets the frustration that some have over the issue, an hence, alongside the new Optimus 3.0 UI overlay, they introduced the note-taking application QuickMemo.
The QuickMemo app first found its home in the LG Optimus 4X HD, but it looks like LG is ready to bring the app to a wider audience. As announced by the company, QuickMemo will be heading to the entire L-series smartphones, which for now include the LG Optimus L3, L5, and L7. The update is already being rolled out in certain regions, and it should be available globally by the end of Q3.
Despite the name, you don’t need a stylus to use LG’s QuickMemo, as your finger will suffice. You can easily activate the feature by pressing the volume keys or from the notification bar. You can take screen shot of any screen – from web pages, images, pictures, and even videos – add your notes right on the display, and share it via text message, chat, e-mail or your fave social networks.
