It turns out that U.S. Cellular has recently announced the upcoming availability of its 4th Android device, known as the LG Apex. We can expect this device as soon as November 19th for $79.99. This price is valid after an $80 mail-in rebate and when you take up a two-year contract.

The Apex is only running Android 2.1, but I would imagine that there is an update in the works to bring this up to at least 2.2 sometime shortly after launch. It offers a 600MHz Qualcomm processor along with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and 3.2-inch 800 x 480 px touchscreen. The camera is only 3-megapixels but does come with an LED flash. As you would expect, there is built in Wi-Fi. Bluetooth and GPS.
