Motorola Droid Razr and Razr Maxx owners have seen their devices upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich about six months ago. ICS was thought to be the end of the update road for the phones, but…
After being delayed numerous times, owners of the Motorola Razr HD on Rogers Wireless learned that the phone will only get the Android 4.1 software upgrade in early February. If what we’re hearing is accurate, it looks like the update has hit the device a few days early.
The tip came from Rogers customers, who confirmed to Mobile Syrup that they have downloaded and installed the Jelly Bean firmware via OTA. The update is about 308 MB in file size.
But that's not all, as those who sport the Razr HD LTE on Fido apparently have been invited to the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean party as well, with several folks reporting that they have gotten the new firmware. However, it seems like the update is being pushed out in phases.
Note that the roll-out hasn’t been confirmed by the carriers. Seeing that Rogers’ website still lists the old schedule, we’d love to hear from you whether or not you’ve seen the update notification on your Razr HD. Please do so in the comments below.
