The Nexus 7 tablet started shipping only last Friday – and it’s already selling out with certain third-party retailers – and we already have the first Android updated with support for the 7-inch device.

Unsurprisingly, it’s Instagram that was updated for the Nexus 7, a popular photo-sharing app that was recently launched on Google Play and that was recently purchased by Facebook for $1 billion. Although, truth be told, the Nexus 7 is not exactly a device to take pictures with, especially since it only comes with a front-facing camera for video chatting – and that’s a 1.2-megapixel camera, not necessarily recommended for Instagram use.

In addition to Nexus 7 support, the Instagram update also brings Android users Flickr sharing capabilities. So if you love Instagram, an app that quickly became a hit photo app in the Google Play store following its equally large success in the App Store, then you should make sure you grab the update no matter whether you purchased Google’s Jelly Bean tablet or not.
