Motorola DROID 2.1 update delayed?

Bad news for Motorola DROID owners as the highly anticipated Android 2.1 update may be delayed. A leaked Verizon Wireless screen shot and inside information from BGR suggests that a last minute bug was detected and the update was pulled without warning. The release date is now in TBD status which means we currently have no idea when it will drop. Anyone disappointed?

  2. LOL I didn’t know that the update was coming soon so I was going to install the ROM.
I think I’ll just wait for the official update… shouldn’t be too far off.

  3. Hard to believe that Motorola and Verizon messed this up twice! What idiots could fumble software release twice??? First moto employee…but then the unforgivable Verizon missing their own deadline? Retarded! I could have tested this by myself and given a release date?

  5. I will wait patiently for this. After suffering the BB Storm for a year (went through 4 different phones in that timeframe) and seeing how they pushed updates out almost every week and they were all flakey, I don’t mind, and am actually quite happy and impressed that the powers that be decided to withhold releasing the software until the bug was fixed. It makes my life easier, seeing as how I have made it this long with this version working as well as it has, I’m sure I can wait a little longer.
