Nexus One will not include multi-touch?
Well-known modder Tnkgrl spent some time with the Nexus One and revealed some juicy new details on this much-talked-about Android phone. She confirmed what was revealed by the FCC – the Nexus One will be unlocked but will only support T-Mobile’s flavor of 3G. AT&T is supported but only on EDGE, no 3G for AT&T customers. Like the DROID, the Nexus One will not have multi-touch, though the hardware, also like the DROID’s, will most likely support it. That was the bad news, now for some good news. The Nexus One was snappy and was perceived to be faster than the DROID. It has an OLED display that sports the same resolution as the DROID’s and includes a new 5-paneled homescreen which is similar to HTC’s popular SenseUI. It lacks a dedicated camera key but has the same camera interface as the DROID. It uses the standard microUSB for charging/data sync and has gold contacts on the bottom, most likely for the rumored car dock. Overall, she though the handset was thin, much nicer looking in person, and fast. Despite the lack of multi-touch, the Nexus One is shaping up to be an excellent Android phone.

Hopefully the European model WILL support multi-touch, just like the Milestone (European DROID). For the love of God, I don’t understand why Google feel like they owe Apple anything.
man i was really excited about the nexus one, now i just lost interest a little. lets see what else will come out.
No standard US software will contain multitouch due to the US’s extreme copyrighting laws and Apple’s army of lawyers – unless Google take them on, which would be a bloody and expensive battle.
I’ve got multi-touch on my G1, it’s no big deal, the only reason it’s ever mentioned is because it’s the one thing iThingy owners can cite in their toy’s defense.
