Archos to announce their Android IMT on June 11, 2009?

archos_2009_launch_eventIt is possible that Archos will announce their Android based Internet Media Tablet in Paris next month as part of their June 11th press conference. The French based company has started sending invites to said conference, and the image advertising it has an Internet Media Tablet-esque watermark that just screams “speculate over me”.

If we’re right, this device is reported to offer a 5-inch touch screen display with up to 500gb of built in storage. At only 1cm thick, it’s a real treat as it allegedly offers HSDPA and HSUPA downloads and uploads on compatible 3G networks. Rounding things off is the OMAP 3 processor from Texas Instruments, which should offer laptop like performance – especially when processing HD video playback.

We look forward breaking news on this device, which may still be inline with a July release.
